Cookie Policy

Last updated: 28 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how FreeMathPlay (“we”, “our”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on freemathplay.com(the “Service”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

By continuing to use the Service, you agree to the use of cookies as described below. Where the law requires consent (for example, in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions), we will obtain your consent through a cookie banner before placing non-essential cookies.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve performance, and to provide information to site owners and advertisers.

Throughout this policy we use the word “cookies” loosely to also refer to similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, pixels, web beacons, and software development kits (SDKs) used inside embedded games. The same principles apply to all of them.

Cookies may be:

  • First-party (set directly by FreeMathPlay), or third-party (set by services we use such as game providers and ad networks).
  • Session cookies (deleted when you close your browser), or persistent cookies (stored on your device for a set period).

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly Necessary

These are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. They include cookies and local-storage entries that:

  • Remember your cookie-consent choices.
  • Maintain basic security.
  • Balance load on our servers.

2.2 Preferences

These remember choices you make so the Service can offer a better experience. For example, we store your theme preference (light/dark mode) in local storage. These technologies do not identify you personally.

2.3 Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Service in aggregate — for example, which games are popular, how long sessions last, and where traffic comes from. The data is aggregated and not used to identify individual users.

2.4 Advertising

The Service is supported by advertising. Our advertising partners — currently GameMonetize, and potentially in the future Google AdSense and other ad networks — may place cookies and similar technologies on your device to:

  • Deliver and measure advertisements inside embedded games and across the Service.
  • Limit how often you see the same ad (“frequency capping”).
  • Detect ad fraud and invalid traffic.
  • Where permitted by law and your consent, show ads tailored to your interests across websites.

These cookies are set by third parties and governed by their respective privacy and cookie policies. You can learn more and manage your preferences through industry tools such as:

For users in jurisdictions requiring it (including the EEA, UK, and California), advertising cookies are placed only after you give consent through our cookie banner or, where applicable, where you have not opted out.

2.5 Third-Party Game Cookies

Games on the Service are embedded from third-party providers. When you play a game, the game frame may set its own cookies or use local storage to save progress, scores, or settings. We do not control these cookies; please refer to the privacy policies of the relevant game providers.

3. How Long Cookies Last

The duration of each cookie depends on its purpose:

  • Session cookies expire when you close your browser.
  • Preference cookies typically last up to 1 year.
  • Analytics cookies typically last up to 2 years.
  • Advertising cookies typically last between 30 days and 13 months, depending on the provider.

Specific durations are set by each provider and may be updated from time to time.

4. Managing Your Cookie Choices

You have several ways to control cookies and similar technologies:

  • Cookie banner: Where shown, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies, and adjust your choices later via the cookie-settings link on the Service.
  • Browser settings:Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies. Help pages are typically available under “Privacy” or “Security” settings in your browser. Mobile browsers and devices offer similar controls.
  • Local storage:You can clear local storage from your browser’s developer or privacy settings; doing so will reset your theme preference.
  • Industry opt-outs: See the links in Section 2.4 above.
  • Do Not Track:The Service does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals due to the lack of an industry standard.

Please note that disabling cookies may affect how the Service works — for example, your theme preference may not be remembered, and some games may not save progress.

5. Children

The Service is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not use cookies or similar technologies to knowingly profile or target children under 13. Where ad partners support it, we signal traffic for treatment under child-online-privacy rules such as COPPA, which may result in non-personalized advertising being shown.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where required, request renewed consent.

7. Contact

If you have questions about how we use cookies, contact us via our contact page.
