This Privacy Policy describes how FreeMathPlay (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit or use freemathplay.com(the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Who We Are

FreeMathPlay operates an online portal offering free-to-play HTML5 math and arcade games embedded from third-party providers.

For any privacy-related question, request, or complaint, contact us via our contact page.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

2.1 Information You Provide

We do not require registration to play games. We only receive information you actively submit, such as:

  • The contents of any message you send via our contact form (name, email, message).
  • DMCA notices or counter-notices.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Service, our servers and third-party tools automatically collect:

  • Device & browser data: browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, language.
  • Connection data: IP address (truncated where possible), approximate location derived from IP (country/region only), and internet service provider.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, games launched, click events, time spent, referring URL, exit pages, and timestamps.
  • Diagnostic data: error logs and performance information.

2.3 Information Collected by Third Parties

Games and ads displayed on the Service are served from third-party providers (such as GameMonetize, and in future Google AdSense or other advertising partners). These providers may independently collect information through cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies inside the embedded game frame and ad units. We do not control and are not responsible for the data practices of these third parties; please review their privacy policies.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Display and measure performance of embedded games and advertisements.
  • Detect, prevent, and address security issues, fraud, and abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
  • Respond to your inquiries and DMCA notices.
  • Aggregate anonymous statistics about Service usage.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:

  • Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve the Service; to measure traffic; and to display non-personalized advertising.
  • Consent: for optional cookies (analytics, personalized advertising) where required by law. You may withdraw consent at any time via our cookie banner or browser settings.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws.

5. Sharing Your Information

We share information only as described below:

  • Advertising partners: including GameMonetize and any future ad networks we integrate. These partners may receive your IP address, device identifiers, browser data, and information about your interactions with ads, in order to deliver and measure ads.
  • Analytics providers: to help us understand how the Service is used.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers: who store and serve our website on our behalf.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FreeMathPlay, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case users will be notified.

We do not knowingly share personal information for purposes outside this policy.

6. Cookies & Similar Technologies

The Service uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies. See our separate Cookie Policy for full details and how to manage your preferences.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

EEA / UK (GDPR / UK GDPR)

  • Right of access to your data.
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Right to restrict or object to processing.
  • Right to data portability.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

  • Right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold.
  • Right to delete personal information.
  • Right to correct inaccurate information.
  • Right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via our contact page. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is a general-audience educational and entertainment website and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable age).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us via our contact page and we will promptly delete it.

Where ad partners support it, we may signal that traffic should be treated as child-directed for compliance with COPPA and similar laws; this may result in non-personalized advertising being shown.

9. International Data Transfers

The Service is operated globally and your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for such transfers.

10. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Server logs are typically retained for up to 90 days. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no industry consensus on how to interpret DNT signals, and the Service does not currently respond to DNT signals. You can manage advertising preferences through your cookie settings.

13. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
